I stayed at Beijing Hepingli Hotel for five consecutive days during my business trip to Beijing. Originally, I only stayed there for the convenience of being close to the government district. However, after staying there, what I couldn't forget most was not the location, but the group of old Beijing waiters in the hotel. Their warmth and thoughtfulness without deliberate performance were something that many high-end five-star hotels couldn't learn.
On the day I first arrived at the hotel, it was the first snow in Beijing. I was dragging two large suitcases and carrying a computer bag filled with project materials on my shoulder. We were only about ten meters away from the hotel gate when the doorman walked up quickly in the snow, steadily taking the suitcase from my hand and helping me push my luggage to the front desk. He also handed me a cup of freshly brewed hot ginger tea and said, "Miss, you're so cold that your face is red. Let's warm up first." With an authentic old Beijing accent, he instantly dispelled the chill of my journey.
When I checked in, Xiao Zhao at the front desk learned that I was here to deal with the government affairs project, and that I had to leave early and return late every day. He specially arranged a quiet room on the high floor near the elevator entrance for me, and slipped me a handwritten note, which marked convenience stores open 24 hours around, and restaurants where hot Congee can be bought late at night. Even the nearby printing shop can print confidential documents in an urgent manner. I casually mentioned that Beijing is too dry. After staying there for two days, I woke up feeling uncomfortable in the morning. That night, when I returned to my room, I saw a brand new humidifier on the bedside table, and a small can of Fat Sea Chrysanthemum Tea next to it. The note read, "I have prepared throat moistening tea for you, don't stay up too late.
The thoughtfulness in these details can be encountered almost every day during the five days of stay. One day I got up late for the project matchmaking meeting and hurried downstairs to take a taxi. When Xiao Feng at the front desk saw that I hadn't eaten breakfast, he gave me a packed meat bun and hot soybean milk and said, "Take it on the road and don't run around empty all day.". I finished drinking water in my room and called room service. In less than three minutes, waiter Li brought four bottles of water to the door and saw a pile of unfinished documents on my desk. Before I could speak, she quietly helped me tidy up the table and even replaced the cooled water cup with a hot one.
What impressed me the most was the day I checked out. I left too quickly and left my laptop with an important USB drive for the project under my pillow. I was almost on the high-speed train to Tianjin when I received a call from the hotel manager Du. He said he found my laptop while cleaning the guest room and was afraid that I would be in a hurry. He specially arranged for a colleague who was going to Beijing South Station to drop me off and brought the USB drive to the next station of the high-speed train, so that I could get it right after getting off the train. He didn't ask me to go back and forth at all.
The biggest feeling after staying for five days is that this old hotel, which has been open for decades, never bows and greets in a standardized process, but cares about every guest as a mature person. This time, I came to Dongcheng, Beijing to connect with government projects and stayed for four consecutive nights at Beijing Hepingli Hotel. As a business person who travels to Beijing all year round, I dare say that this is the "efficiency ceiling" level landing point I found within the North Third Ring Road - an old business hotel under the First Travel Group. There are no fancy marketing gimmicks, but it has engraved the most important "efficiency and stability" for business trips into every detail.

From Exit B of Hepingli North Street Station on Metro Line 5, you can walk for 2 minutes to enter the hotel gate and reach surrounding government agencies such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. It can be reached within a 10 minute walk and is not used as a parking lot on the Third Ring Road during rush hour. It takes only 10 minutes by car to get to the China International Exhibition Center, so you don't have to leave two hours in advance to catch up with the exhibition. The saved time is enough to double check the project plan. It's 7 kilometers to Beijing Railway Station and less than 20 kilometers to Capital International Airport. The airport expressway runs smoothly and you don't have to wake up late to catch an early flight.
The 30 square meter business king room I am staying in is completely tailored for business scenarios. The independent writing desk by the window is spacious and stable, paired with an ergonomic office chair, allowing you to sit continuously for three to four hours without experiencing back pain or discomfort when preparing project application materials. The high-speed WiFi signal covering the entire house is full, and there is zero lag when transferring several gigabytes of confidential project files. The desktop is equipped with multiple specifications of power sockets and USB fast charging ports, and computers, printers, and recording pens can be charged simultaneously without the need for a power strip. The room is specially equipped with a zero pressure mattress from Dream Lily. After a busy day, you can return to the room and quickly relieve fatigue by lying down. Even if you stay up late the day before and change your plan, you won't feel sore all over the body the next day. The sound insulation of the whole house is particularly solid. After closing the double layered windows, there is no sound of traffic on the main road outside. Even if we are still rushing for materials at 2 o'clock in the morning, we can ensure that we are not disturbed by the outside world.

Five conference rooms of different specifications, ranging from a small negotiation room for 18 people to a large press conference for 140 people, were fully covered. I booked a project review conference room for 60 people in advance, and the conference team helped me debug the high-definition projection, remote conference system, and simultaneous interpretation equipment three hours in advance. Even the details of table cards, conference material binding, and tea break matching were checked with me three times, and there were no mistakes throughout the entire process, so I didn't have to spend any energy watching the scene. The taste and environment are decent enough. You don't have to drive far to find a restaurant.
